Research Interests
During my sabbatical (2010-2011) I am working with a team of researchers on an NSF Urban Long Term Research Area grant to examine if environmental conditions have been influenced by different approaches to governance in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington.
Recent research focuses on factors influencing the sale price of single-family residential properties. Past research areas include finding cost-effective ways to control nonpoint source pollution from agriculture, the effect of open pit gold mining in Nevada, and the development of economic experiments for classroom use.
